Pakistan Announces Lineup for Third T20 Against South Africa: One Change Made
Pakistan has revealed its playing XI for the third and final T20 match against South Africa, making a solitary change to the lineup. The series, already clinched by South Africa with a 2-0 lead, provides Pakistan an opportunity to restore some pride in the concluding game.
The national team will feature Salman Ali Agha, who replaces Usman Khan in the playing XI. The change aims to add depth to the batting order and provide fresh energy as the team strives for a consolation victory.
Mohammad Rizwan will continue to lead the side as captain, with the squad also including star batter Babar Azam, emerging talents Saim Ayub and Tayyab Tahir, and experienced bowlers like Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf. The lineup is rounded off by promising all-rounders Abbas Afridi, Salman Ali Agha, and spinner Abrar Ahmed.
South Africa’s dominant performance in the series has left Pakistan reeling. The visitors secured an unassailable lead with commanding wins in the first two matches, showcasing their superior form. However, Pakistan remains hopeful of ending the series on a positive note with this revised lineup.
Reflecting on the tournament, Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan, a neutral observer, shared his thoughts: “It was an enjoyable tournament; playing the semi-final and losing to South Africa is acceptable.” His comments underline the high competitive spirit South Africa has brought to the series.
The final match provides Pakistan with a platform to regain momentum as they look to rebuild and address gaps in their performance. Fans will be keenly watching if the inclusion of Salman Ali Agha brings the spark needed to turn the tide.
The match promises to be an exciting contest, with Pakistan eager to salvage some pride and South Africa aiming for a clean sweep.
