22-year-old Youth Dies After Chinar Tree Branch Falls on Him in Ganderbal

Ganderbal, Dec 17:

A tragic incident occurred in the Patti Rampora area of Ganderbal district, where a 22-year-old youth, identified as Umar Ganai from Safapora, lost his life after being struck by a falling branch of a Chinar tree.

Officials reported that the accident happened while labourers were cutting the Chinar tree, and Umar was passing by the area. A large branch fell on him, causing critical injuries. Despite being rushed to the District Hospital Ganderbal, Umar was declared dead on arrival.

The police have taken cognizance of the incident and are investigating further.
